All services handled with
care and compassion
We know your kids would rather be doing something other than visiting us, so we provide a full array of services to help make your visits helpful, efficient, and easy.
Well child check-up
Anderson Primary Care wants your child to live a happy and healthy life. Regularly scheduled check-ups help to ensure your child is growing and developing well. We offer well check-ups, sports physicals, and family well checks (2 children from the same family seen consecutively) during our regular office hours. Back-to-school season is a particularly busy time of year at our office, so plan ahead and try to schedule your check-ups early. Please bring any forms requiring a physical exam with you to your appointment.
We believe in the value and efficacy of childhood and adolescent immunizations. Anderson Primary Care strives to immunize your child according to the recommendations of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the CDC. If you have any questions about immunizations, we encourage you to talk to us. We are a Vaccines for Children (VFC) provider which means that we offer immunizations to anyone under 19 years old who is covered by Medicaid insurance, or is uninsured, or American Indian/ Alaskan native, or underinsured.
As part of your child’s well exam we offer a comprehensive PediaVision eye exam, hearing test, urinalysis, CBC, and cholesterol/glucose screening. More in-depth testing may require that we draw blood. You can also choose to have your labs drawn at another testing facility.
We have a certified IBCLC lactation consultant and a lactation counselor on staff providing timely evaluation and breastfeeding support for our nursing mothers throughout their entire time breastfeeding, and can answer questions and provide support throughout that time.
Sports physicals can be done as a patient’s annual well child exam (which is covered by insurance) so there’s no extra cost, and we’ll fill out all forms for up to a year after the exam. We go the extra mile with a comprehensive exam that includes cardiovascular, neuromuscular and orthopedic. And we’ll make sure patients are up-to-date on immunizations, routine mental health screenings and routine testing.
More ways to serve your family's needs
Anderson Primary Care is a part of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital ADHD Collaborative. Together we provide a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to the evaluation and management of ADHD. Parent and teacher Vanderbilt assessment forms can be downloaded here or completed through the Patient Portal. Contact our office if you think your child may be exhibiting ADD or ADHD symptoms.
Child asthma management
We provide close monitoring of our patients who have been diagnosed with asthma. Our participation in the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Asthma Initiative enables us to provide the most up-to-date care and education.
New parent visits
We provide monthly new-parent orientation visits with one of our providers. Meet us on a causal Friday evening session to tour our office and learn about us. Please call ahead to schedule.
There may come a time when your child needs to be seen by an outside provider. In order to coordinate the best possible care, we act as the link between your child and any specialist they may see. We work closely with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and benefit from their many resources.
We provide 24-hour phone triage services with a registered nurse. Our staff of registered nurses are trained and ready to answer your questions from 8am to close Monday through Saturday. After office hours, this triage service is provided by the nurses at Team Health who have 24-hour access to our providers.
Anderson Primary Care providers and nurse practitioners will see new babies born at Mercy Anderson Hospital. All of our newborns will be seen within the first 24 hours of life and each day until they are discharged.
Warts are a common problem in pediatrics, often requiring a visit to the Dermatologist. In most cases, we can take care of this problem right in our office. When you call, let the scheduler know you would like us to assess this problem so we can schedule sufficient time for your visit.
